Speaker's Biography

Cerys Matthews hosts and programmes award-winning radio shows across BBC 6, 2 and 4.

Cerys has composed music for Dylan Thomas' 'A Child’s Christmas in Wales' and poetry including 'Fern Hill' and 'Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night,' now a Ballet Cymru show - on currently across venues in Wales, and her musical take on 'A Child’s Christmas in Wales' is currently being made into a musical in America.

Her uncle, Colin Edwards amassed the most substantive collection of interviews in the 1960s for the Dylan Thomas archive.

Previous books: 'Tales from the Deep,' 'Gelert,' 'Where the Wild Cooks Go' and the singalong, Sunday Times bestseller; 'Hook, Line and Singer.'

Jeff Towns is also known as 'The Dylan Thomas Guy,' founded Swansea’s Dylan Bookstore and Dylan’s Mobile Bookstore, is a legend in literary circles, and has for decades been the go to book supplier for artists, presidents and rock royalty.

With talk of Captain Cat, Rosie Probert, Organ Morgan, Myfanwy, Nogood Boyo and others who live in Llaregubb we celebrate the new illustrated 'Under Milk Wood' by Cerys Matthews and artist Kate Evans
