Time Magazine first publicised the concept of MANopause in 2014, encapsulating the effect of aging on men in a similar way that menopause affects women. MANopause is a key transition point in the male life course that manifests itself in mental and physical changes that affect mental and physical health wellbeing. This session will present some of the factors that contribute towards MANopause that will stimulate discussion about this issue. There may also be time to cover some research work in sport science that may contribute towards the management of some of the effects of MANopause.
