Entrepreneurial individuals have the skills to spot opportunities and take calculated risks, transforming their knowledge, behaviours, attributes and competencies. At an Institutional level, we can ensure the creation of cultural, social or economic value which can lead to venture creation.

Enterprise is one of the 5 key pillars of the University, As set out in Swansea University’s Student Enterprise: Our Strategy Approach 2018-2023 our Vision is to “Develop innovative and entrepreneurial talent as a distinctive feature of the Swansea University student experience, transforming lives and futures by unlocking and fostering a connected entrepreneurial community”.

Aim: Work with academics to produce entrepreneurial and innovative graduates that are sought after, from across all Faculties of the University.

Objectives:
- To raise awareness of what Entrepreneurial Graduates are and the impact they can have on society and the economy.
- To introduce and build knowledge of frameworks and toolkits available to embed enterprise into the curriculum.
- To Emphasize the importance of such skills to students and how they can use them both during and post study to be successful.
- To understand the impact on the student, course and University reputation by instilling enterprise.

The Internationally renowned EntreComp Framework is a tool used to identify and develop the key competencies associated with entrepreneurs. It can be easily embedded into any curriculum subject, allowing you to reflect on your teaching practice, by mapping out where you currently provide opportunities for learners to build their competencies.
