About this Event
The Curriculum Inclusivity Assessment Toolkit - Increasing Awareness, Adding Value, and Transforming Practice
The aim of the Toolkit is to directly and actively embed equality, diversity and inclusivity (EDI) across all curricula and teaching and learning activities and resources. In these times of remote, digitally-supported learning, it is more imperative than ever to consider how to make your learning materials more inclusive and accessible to your students.

The assessment is in the form of a set of questions which you score yourself to see how inclusive your curricula, modules or even individual sessions might be. It is meant to show you ways that you can achieve a more inclusive curriculum and use more inclusive teaching and learning activities. It can be used either as a checklist and tool to help with curriculum development, or to assess existing programmes and modules to review and evaluate their inclusivity and identify areas for further development.

Introducing the toolkit will be Professor Martin Stringer, PVC Education, Professor Michael Draper, Director SAILS, Mr. Simon Gibbon, Interim Head of SALT, and Mr. Phil Maull, Head of Academic Quality Services.

The author of the toolkit, Dr. Alys Einion-Waller, Associate Professor, College of Human and Health Sciences, will demonstrate the Toolkit and answer questions.
