This seminar will focus on the impact from 7 years of Welsh legislation to incorporate the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It will draw on recent research carried out for the Equality and Human Rights Commission on the Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2001, which imposes a duty on Welsh Ministers to have due regard to the Convention in everything they do. The seminar will highlight key messages from the research, including the strengths and challenges of the due regard duty. It will also focus on possible future action to strengthen children's rights compliance in Wales.

This event is sponsored by Helen Mary Jones, AM.
