Modern Poetry in Translation - Women of Britain
Featuring Clare Pollard, Sabrina Mahfouz, Menna Elfyn and Liz Berry

Join us for an array of voices, languages and poems as Modern Poetry in Translation launch their Spring issue as part of Swansea University Cultural Institute's series of events celebrating International Women’s Day. Editor Clare Pollard will chair a discussion on translation, 21st century women’s poetry and the diverse language communities of Britain followed by a gala reading featuring poets from Swansea, Wales and across the UK, including multi-award winning poets Sabrina Mahfouz, Menna Elfyn and Liz Berry. An evening of words, performance and cutting-edge literature, not to be missed.

Introduced by Swansea University’s Professor in Creativity Owen Sheers.

‘MPT is the Fifth International, anyone who wants to change the world and see it changed should join’ - John Berger

Presented in partnership with Wales PEN Cymru and GENCAS, Swansea University’s Centre for Research into Gender and Culture in Society.
