The huge mechanical puppet,which resembles a giant miner, is set to visit seven of south Wales’s most important industrial heritage locations for a week of celebrations from 08 – 12 April 2018.

The tour will culminate on 12 April with nostalgic displays outside the National Waterfront Museum Swansea, a City Centre parade to celebrate the city’s 300-year copper-smelting tradition and an evening finale at the Hafod-Morfa Copperworks, which will come to life with a dramatic fire and light show.

11.am - 1.15 pm National Waterfront Museum (Free)
The story begins with The Man Engine collecting the copper ore from the docks in a series of impressive displays packed with nostalgia.

2.15pm-3pm City Centre (Free)
The spectacle continues with The Man Engine carrying the copper ore through the city centre.

6.30pm-9.30pm Hafod-Morfa Copperworks (Tickets from £2.50)
The Man Engine arrives at the Copperworks to hand over the copper ore to John Henry Vivian for smelting in an impressive after dark fire and light show that you really don't want to miss.
