Swansea University’s School of Management is holding its first Business Forum at the Bay Campus.

This is prestigious event with the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport Ken Skates AM and will focus on transport issues in the Swansea Bay City Region.

Have you got burning questions about the region and its growth? Are you concerned about transport links and your business? Are you keen to hear about the opportunities from Welsh Government?

This free event will be an opportunity for academics, local business people and business leaders to debate the big issues around transport in this region. The event will be chaired by Swansea University’s Morgan Academy Deputy Director Helen Mary Jones.

Key issues discussed will include the electrification of the railway, regional transport provision, the airport and its proximity, strong rail links for business and public transport for the region and how the £1.3 billion Swansea Bay City Deal will impact on transport networks/provision.

The morning starts at 7:30 am with breakfast and chance to network.

At 8am Ken Skates, the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport will talk to us about the city region and the Welsh Government plans around transport and infrastructure. This is followed by a Q & A where you can ask questions of a panel of people including:

- Cllr Rob Stewart, Leader, City and County of Swansea,
- Martin White, Head of Regeneration, Pembrokeshire County Council,
- Justin Davies, Managing Director of First Cymru
- Prof Marc Clement, Dean of School of Management and Vice President of Swansea University.

The morning will close at 9:30 am.
