From: 25 Feb 2026, 6:30 p.m.What do you do when you find your house submerged in water, a dead stranger in your bed and your whole family killed?
The House of Water, the latest novel from award-winning author and screenwriter Fflur Dafydd, is a gripping psychological thriller set against the backdrop of a Welsh town devastated by floods. It’s a story of buried secrets, family legacies, and identity, where one evening, a young woman places her key in the lock of her family home - only to realise, in that moment, that her life is about to change forever.
Combining page-turning suspense with literary depth, this novel deftly explores a range of contemporary themes - grief, belonging, mental health and climate change - all while immersing readers in the rich culture, language, and heritage of Wales. Thought-provoking yet utterly unputdownable, The House of Water is unlike any other book you'll ever read, and will stay with you long after the final page.
