It is widely acknowledged that SMEs play a pivotal role in the UK's economic landscape—particularly in Wales. However, the growing threat of cyber risks, coupled with the financial disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the increasing vulnerability of SMEs to both financial and operational risks.
The purpose of this event is to explore risk mitigation strategies that SMEs can adopt, with particular emphasis on insurance products. We also aim to discuss additional strategies that may benefit your firm.
This event will provide SMEs with the opportunity to:
Understand the financial risks they face and the types of insurance products available in the market to cover those exposures;
Learn the most effective ways to approach obtaining insurance coverage;
Gain insights into cyber risks and discover strategies to reduce exposure—thereby improving the likelihood of obtaining cyber insurance at more competitive rates; and
Develop broader strategies to enhance business resilience.
* We are grateful to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) for sponsoring this event.
