Students will experience a range of financial difficulties throughout their studies which may result in them experiencing financial hardship. Swansea University Hardship Funds exist to support students in financial need. The aim of the funds is to provide short term assistance to aid student retention and progression. In addition, the Money team provide support via special awards and bursaries for certain student groups. This is an information sharing session to equip staff with the knowledge and understanding to signpost and refer students appropriately

Define the different funds that are available
Identify where to signpost students needing support

Academic Tutors, Professional Service Staff – Student facing
