This briefing will give staff an understanding between Safeguarding with a ‘Big S’ and safeguarding with a ‘little s’ so they are able to identify scenarios that need to be reported under Section 5 of the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
Aims :
• Know when to report a Safeguarding concern under section 5 of the Wales Safeguarding Procedures
• Gain confidence in identifying scenarios that refer to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of an individual
• To be confident with next steps and referral routes
