This session aims to ‘Raise awareness about Islamophobia’.

The main outcomes from the sessions will enable participants to ‘understand the basic teachings of Islam’, to’ Raise awareness of Islamophobia’ as well as ‘recognise the consequences of someone who is discriminated against because of Islamophobia’.

The session will include discussions around ‘Women in Islam, Halal, Haram and Jihad. The session will elaborate on the support available within the institution and externally, should individuals find themselves or others being discriminated against.

The aim of the session is to provide an overview on Islamophobia, the definition, and misconceptions. To increase understanding and raise awareness.

Open to staff and students.
