Staff members who have previously attended the Welsh Language Standards Awareness (also code 371) course need not attend.
The University is legally obliged to comply with the Welsh Language Standards (No.6) Regulations 2017. This 1-hour course highlights the main requirements of the Standards, signposts to sources of information/support, and discusses the use of the Welsh language in day-to-day life. These sessions are available on both Park and Bay campuses.
Aims: To ensure that members of staff have a good understanding of the Welsh Language Standards and the role of Welsh within the University and beyond. They will know where to seek further guidance and support.
