As the climate and ecological emergency worsens, moral challenges mount, particularly to citizens of the Global North. How has the 'self' of this modern citizen become so estranged from nature? In this presentation, Professor Paul Hoggett will examine how we can help each other find the strength to meet the challenge posed by this emergency. He will explore the nature of hope, love and vitality, and how something akin to paradise is to be found in the ordinary and everyday. Paul is Emeritus Professor of Social Policy at UWE, Bristol, a practising psychotherapist and co-founder of the Climate Psychology Alliance.
