Speaker's Biography

J. Willgoose, Esq. is the founder and principal songwriter of the London-based band Public Service Broadcasting. Since releasing their first EP, The War Room, in 2012, the band have used archive material, field recordings, original material and literature to re-tell stories from our past, covering subjects as diverse as the space race, the south Wales coalfield and Berlin's history as a creative hub. Willgoose worked extensively with the South Wales Miners' Library for PSB's 2017 release 'Every Valley', which combined BFI material, SWML collections and poetry to chart the highs and lows of the coal-mining community.
