SpeakerBeverley Guess, Impact Manager, REIS
Speaker's BiographyBeverley Guess has been working at Swansea University for 20 years in roles largely focused on helping academics work in collaboration with external stakeholders (private, public sector and third sector organisations). She is a qualified Agile Change Manager and the Impact Manager for Swansea University.
She manages a team of impact and engagement professionals based across the three Faculties along with a team of professional service experts in business engagement and development. In addition to the above, Beverley is the Project Manager for Swansea University’s Impact Acceleration Account.
Beverley graduated Bristol Business School with a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Administration and has a strong background in business development, the protection of intellectual property and consultancy.
Beverley enjoys supporting her high performing teams and engaging with stakeholders, research users and beneficiaries beyond the university. Her knowledge spans over the wide spectrum of research, knowledge transfer, knowledge exchange, commercial and intellectual property activities within the Department of Research, Engagement and Innovation Services (REIS).

Part of the exciting University-wide Research Week from September 11th to 15th, 2023
This week-long program (sponsored by the FSE) promises a rich variety of events and workshops designed to engage and inspire participants from all faculties and staff members.
This includes an Impact Lectures day on 12th Sept at the Taliesin running from 10.30 – 3pm.
As part of the Impact day, Beverley Guess, Impact Manager, REIS, will give an informative talk from about the funding options available through the UKRI Impact Acceleration Account. Beverley will give an overview of what is meant by impact, the types of projects that can be funded and how to apply for funding.
