Speaker's Biography

Serena Margadonna is a Professor in Chemical Engineering at Swansea University (since 2015) and selected as top 50 Women in Engineering awards in 2022. She is a role model for many women and girls within Swansea University and outside. Serena is passionate about gender balance in workplace and provide support to junior colleagues in achieving their full potential.

Barnali Ghosh is a Technical Director at Mott MacDonald (London) and a Fellow at Institution of Civil Engineer (FICE). As a proud ambassador for women in engineering, she was selected for the top 50 Women in Engineering awards 2020 organised by the Women's Engineering Society. Dr Ghosh has voiced her passion to become a role model for female engineers by helping them to negotiate their careers.
