UKRI are piloting an exciting new Interdisciplinary cross research council responsive mode scheme, with the first round due to open 8th June.

The scheme will fund interdisciplinary ideas that transcend, combine or significantly span disciplines - supporting breakthrough or disruptive ideas that would ordinarily not be funded by existing UKRI responsive mode schemes.

Do you have an idea for a proposal?
If so, come along to our event on Monday 5th June at 12pm to find out more about what UKRI are looking for, get feedback on whether your idea fits with the scope of this new scheme and meet like-minded colleagues interested in interdisciplinary research.

Following a networking lunch, MASI are inviting interested groups to pitch their proposals to an interdisciplinary panel. The panel will be able to provide advice on how well the idea might be received for this scheme, offer suggestions on how to strengthen the proposal – particularly in relation to the interdisciplinarity of your project – helping to broker new collaborations where possible.

Full details on the scheme will be available here shortly. UKRI will also be holding a webinar for applicants on 13th and 22nd June, registration details will be released soon.
