Swansea University are pleased to welcome the UK Research Office UKRO in their capacity as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions National Contact Point to provide an overview of the funding opportunities available under Horizon Europe’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

The session will be delivered by Sean Rowlands our European Adviser contact from the UK Research Office (UKRO), which aims to maximise UK engagement with EU funding schemes. UKRO European Advisors keep track of the latest developments in EU funding programmes and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in how to apply for, win and manage European funding.

The session will provide a high-level introduction to upcoming opportunities from the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA), the EU’s flagship funding programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training of researchers.

The MSCA’s fund excellent research and innovation and equip researchers at all stages of their career with new knowledge and skills, through mobility across borders and exposure to different sectors and disciplines. The MSCA are an excellent way to build your own research capacity, European collaborations and funding profile, whilst investing in the long-term careers of excellent researchers.

The session will primarily be focussed on the Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowship schemes and will briefly touch on other schemes such as the Staff Exchanges.

There will be ample opportunity for Q&A with the National Contact Point.

The MSCA’s provide many opportunities to support the UGA-Swansea University strategic partnership plan. If you are interested in collaborating with Swansea University, please register to join the seminar to hear more from Sean Rowlands, European Advisor, on how MSCA can help build develop international collaborations, train researchers and increase your research capacity.

The session will also detail the support available from UKRO, Swansea University (REIS) and Welsh Government Horizon Europe office to help you apply for European Horizon Funding.
Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the aims of MSCA, how this can benefit you as a researcher and the funding opportunities available.

In addition, attendees will understand what support is available from the UKRO and internally within Swansea to them to develop a research proposal and how to access further information

Zoom link will be sent after registration. Before event date.
