Speaker's Biography

Swansea University has been a member with The Conversation UK since 2016. Curated by professional editors, The Conversation offers informed commentary and debate on the issues affecting our world. Their teams of professional editors work with university and research institute experts to unlock their knowledge for use by the wider public. The Conversation website has 900k users a month and 60K Twitter followers.
By being a member of The Conversation, we get advance notice of stories they are interested in covering, with requests for experts. And we can also pitch our stories to the editors who provide support and advice to write your article.
Since joining as a member in early June 2016 we have published an astonishing 333 articles all written by researchers from across the University with The Conversation. These articles have been read by more than 8 million people ( 8,259,456 to be exact 😊) The most-read article by a Swansea University author has over 450,000 reads!
