The third of this series of online panel discussions, bringing Swansea University colleagues and student representatives together to share views and experiences for professional learning.

Chaired by Dr. Joanne Berry and Dr. Patricia Xavier, the following panellists will explore beliefs around ‘success’ and ‘failure’ in assessments:

• Dr Lisa Padden, our guest panellist from University College Dublin
• Dr. Sarah Crooke (HSS), Katie Phillips (SU Student’s Union)
• Dr. Vicky Lovett (FoMHLS)
• Pete Hanratty (CAS)
• Dr. Peter Esteban (FoSE)

Questions such as the following will be explored:

1. Should we assume that students know how to do assessments?
2. Do assessments need to be uniform to ensure quality, rigour and success?
3. Whose fault is it when students fail?
