Are you an academic mentor? Are you involved in academic advising of students? In the 2021/22 academic year, Swansea Academy of Inclusivity and Learner Success (SAILS), is sponsoring all University staff to undertake professional recognition with the UK Advising and Tutoring Association (UKAT). Achieving professional recognition for academic mentoring or advising will count as CPD for existing HEA Fellows and will assist those seeking HEA Fellowship.

Join our webinar facilitated by UKAT. If you haven’t yet applied for professional recognition you can find out more about what would be involved. If you are already enrolled, you will benefit from help and advice on your application.

There are three levels of recognition:

• Recognised Practitioner in Advising (RPA)

• Recognised Senior Advisor (RSA)

• Recognised Leader in Advising (RLA)

Application for professional recognition must be made via SAILS. For more information look at the NAC Academic Mentoring course on Canvas.
