At Swansea University we care about protecting our environment and ensuring the wellbeing of our campus community. That’s why we’re launching a brand-new way for you to contribute to our sustainability efforts and get rewarded for all the good actions you’re taking. This will come at an important time for our environment, and coincide with COP26 in Glasgow, the world’s biggest climate conference.
What is SWell?
SWell, standing for ‘Sustainability and Wellbeing’, is a digital programme open to all staff and students at the university. Through the web platform and app you’ll earn ‘Green Points’ for taking small, everyday actions that reduce your carbon footprint and take care of your physical and mental wellbeing. Whilst also supporting our university Sustainability & Climate Emergency Strategy.
Each month we’ll be rewarding the 10 top earning students with a £10 voucher – redeemable through: the SU, Root, M&S, National Book Tokens and cinema vouchers – as well as awarding a £500 charity donation to our top team at the end of the year.

SWell is launching on 1st November. Find out more at our webinar and live event, with a £5 voucher for Root, Root Zero and the SU given to the first 500 students who sign up (collectable from our stalls on campus, details below).
Our launch webinar will be held at 12pm on 2nd November where you’ll get the chance to learn more about the programme, hear from the sustainability team and ask your own questions, as well as get a demonstration of how it all works.
