A joyful yet heartbreaking series centred on a group of friends whose lives are changed irrevocably by the HIV/ Aids epidemic in the 80s, It’s a Sin is not only the most talked-about TV show of 2021 so far, but also Channel 4’s most watched drama series in its history.

Written and created by the multi-BAFTA award-winning writer Russell T Davies, the 80s-set series helped drive an increase in the number of people ordering HIV tests as well as seeking information and support.

Join Swansea-born Davies and his childhood friend and LGBTQ+ ally Jill Nalder, who starred in the series and was the inspiration behind one of the series’ best-loved characters, for a unique discussion. Together they will share the real-life experiences that influenced the creation of the hit series, what it was like living in the shadow of the Aids crisis, and the impact the crisis still has on perceptions within healthcare and community settings.

It’s a Sin is available on All 4.
