Whether you are LGBTQ+ or an Ally, Pride Month is a time for celebration, remembrance, love, and support. Many of us will be aware of what PRIDE month normally looks like in all its rainbow-coloured glory, but how many of us really know how it all began? As part of Pride month join us as we look back at how the Stonewall riots in New York City in June 1969 began a global movement, which we now associate with PRIDE, and how Swansea and its surrounding communities reacted in the most unexpected and unique ways!

Join us to hear this fascinating Swansea story where we will discuss the creation of the Swansea Women’s Liberation Group in 1972, the HIV and AIDS pandemic of the 1980's and its impact on Wales, along with remembering the Miners’ Strike of 1984-85.

It is only by looking back that we can really appreciate how much things have changed and keep the momentum to move forward.
