As part of Swansea University's International Women's Day series of events, join us for a presentation by Dr Omolabake Fakunle, a Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Edinburgh .The theme for International Women’s Day this year asks us to commit to ‘Choose to Challenge’ inequality and help to build an inclusive world.

Dr Fakunle's presentation will draw on her experience based on her involvement in EDI-related initiatives at her institution and beyond. This relates to her research that examines the intersection of internationalisation of higher education and inclusivity. She will be highlighting how courage and desire are necessary attributes to address the challenges we face as we choose to embed inclusivity in every facet of working and studying in an internationalised university.

This event is part of Swansea University's International Women's Day series of events which consist of talks and panel discussions, interactive open conversations, mentoring opportunities, engaging workshops and masterclasses with the aim of celebrating the social, economic and cultural achievements of women within the wider Swansea University community.

This series of events will be raising money for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship which is awarded to an outstanding female student from a developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within Swansea University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
