Are you applying for a new opportunity?

Perhaps following a period of unemployment, redundancy, furlough, maternity or caring responsibilities? This practical workshop is a whistle stop tour of ‘top tips’ to empower you practically and to help prepare you for the transition.

We will cover topics such as acing application forms, interviews/assessment centres and discuss the skills and attributes that employers value most. We’ll also touch on the importance of a growth mind set, resilience and why it’s important to be your authentic self - reflecting on what you may have overcome in life – you may possess skills you never knew about!

This is a presentation, followed by Q&A session and signposting to useful resources.

This event is part of Swansea University's International Women's Day series of events which consist of talks and panel discussions, interactive open conversations, mentoring opportunities, engaging workshops and masterclasses with the aim of celebrating the social, economic and cultural achievements of women within the wider Swansea University community.

This series of events will be raising money for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship which is awarded to an outstanding female student from a developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within Swansea University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
