Having good mental health can help us sleep better and feel more energised. It can help us to manage difficult or stressful times, and even reduce our risk of physical health problems in the future. Even if you feel well, it's important to take time to really invest in your mental health.

In this workshop we'll look at some of the latest research in wellbeing science, and show you some practical ways you can look after your mental health and wellbeing every day - based on the principles of positive psychotherapy and mindfulness. We'll also share some uplifting stories with you about how we have applied some of the principles of wellbeing science and strategies to our work in the health service. You'll learn something new and gain some useful wellbeing 'tools' to help you feel more peaceful, renewed and inspired!

This event is part of Swansea University's International Women's Day series of events which consist of talks and panel discussions, interactive open conversations, mentoring opportunities and engaging workshops with the aim of celebrating the social, economic and cultural achievements of women within the wider Swansea University community.

This series of events will be raising money for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship which is awarded to an outstanding female student from a developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within Swansea University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
