Are you a woman* who works in science and who is passionate about your research? Are you eager to talk to the general public about your work in a fun, informal setting? If so, then Soapbox Science needs YOU! We are looking for scientists in all areas of STEMM, from Research students to Professors, and from entry-level researchers to entrepreneurs, to take part in this grassroots science outreach project.

We are excited to announce that the call for speakers to take part in Soapbox Science’s 2020 events is NOW OPEN!

Swansea University will be hosting its seventh Soapbox Science event on the afternoon of Saturday 11 July, bringing 12 inspirational female scientists to the streets of Swansea to share their research, engage the public, and inspire the next generation of scientists.
The free event, which will be held in Oxford Street on Saturday 22 June, aims to raise the profile and challenge the public’s view of women in science, technology, engineering, maths, and medicine (STEMM).
The Swansea event is one of more than 50 Soapbox Science events across the globe.
