Swansea University’s Academi Hywel Teifi is sponsoring the Lolfa Lên (Literature Lounge) at Cardiff’s Tafwyl Festival at Cardiff Castle on the weekend of 22 and 23 June and is presenting a full programme of Welsh medium discussions, workshops and readings. 2.00-3.00 At Work
Characters of the Swansea Valley – A selection of writers’ work with pictures by Pontardawe artist Mike Jones.
Come and hear members of Swansea Valley Reading Club discuss their latest project.
4.00-5.00 Awen Abertawe - A chance to hear Chaired bard Tudur Hallam, winner of the Inter-College Eisteddfod Chair Grug Muse, and other young poets of the Swansea University Welsh Department present their poetry. There will also be a chance to hear a selection from Tudur Hallam’s new volume of poetry, published by Barddas.

Professor Martin Johnes from Swansea University’s Department of History discusses his new book and television series on Welsh history with Professor Daniel Williams, Director of the Richard Burton Centre for the Study of Wales, Swansea University.
4.00-5.00 The Law in our Literature
Throughout the centuries the law has both inspired and infuriated poets and writers. Professor Gwynedd Parry from the Department of Welsh, Swansea University will be discussing his new book which traces the influence of the law in Welsh literature from the Early Middle Ages to the present day.
