Close to Folk
Blurring boundaries and borders, inspired by the music and poetry of Wales and the UK.
World music collective Kabantu joins forces with innovative Welsh chamber orchestra Sinfonia Cymru, bridging orchestral and traditional folk music with an open book of genres and countries. They take inspiration from the music and poetry of Wales and the rest of the UK. The evening performance will feature new music, written and devised by players from both ensembles, including new versions of; Sospan Fach, Suo Gan and Dafydd y Garreg Wen. Close to Folk is a stunning celebration of people and culture.
