Standing as the gateway between the East and West, Istanbul has served as the capital of the Roman, Byzantine, Latin and Ottoman Empires. In this event award-wining historian, author and broadcaster Professor Bettany Hughes joins Owen Sheers to draw upon this rich and varied history to present a fascinating and engaging journey through the 6,000-year story of Istanbul. Followed by Q&A and book signing.
