RECOLLECTIONS by Antonis C. Simintiras
Premiere Performances by The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra
Join us for the first live performance of Antonis Simintiras’ music performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra – their first ever appearance in Swansea.
Antonis is a Professor of Marketing at Swansea University and Dean of the College of Business Administration at the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) in Kuwait by vocation, and an amateur weekend music composer by avocation. The inescapable hurdles, distractions, and responsibilities associated with life postponed his lifelong dream of releasing an album and having his music performed publicly by forty years. Nonetheless, he has finally seen his passion through to the point that it is ready to share. Recollections is a compilation of his favourite pieces, reflecting important moments in his life – inspired by family, friends, colleagues, and students.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (RPCO) has built up an international reputation in its 30-year history, performing in the major concert venues across the UK and around the world, from China and the Far East to North and South America. The RPCO is known for its versatile programming of classical, light classical and popular music and has a worldwide reputation for working with internationally renowned artists, ranging from opera luminaries, such as Andrea Bocelli, José Carreras, Bryn Terfel, Renée Fleming, Kiri Te Kanawa and the late Luciano Pavarotti, to popular culture icons, including Burt Bacharach, Rod Stewart, Henry Mancini, Barry Manilow, The Pet Shop Boys, Sting and Kylie Minogue, to name a few.
We look forward to seeing you on this very special evening.
All proceeds will be donated to charity.
