To: 8 Mar 2018, 3 p.m.
Location: Fulton House Refectory

As part of the university’s International Women’s Day celebrations, we are delighted to announce that we will be holding a bake sale and photo shoot on Thursday 8th March, 2 – 3pm, in the Fulton House refectory – and we need you to get involved!

Bake sale

We are looking for volunteers to bake cakes for a bake sale to raise money for Welsh Women’s Aid which works to end domestic violence against women and girls in Wales, and Project My Girl which supports girls in Malawi to access education.

If you would like to participate, please email j.a.merrell@swansea.ac.uk.

Photo Shoot

Please wear something purple and come along to the photo shoot with the official International Women’s Day banner in the Fulton House Refectory to show Swansea University’s commitment to gender equality. We are looking for as many people as possible to include in the group photo! We want to showcase the diversity in our community, so are looking for people of all genders, all ethnicities, disabled people, people of faith, and people from diverse backgrounds to join us.

Turn up on the day at 2pm in the refectory to get involved.

Sing to celebrate International Women's Day.

We would also love to see male and female colleagues join us and sing along with the chorus of the UN song 'One Woman' - Your chance to be a YouTube star. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dnq2QeCvwpw
