This year’s Festival opening concert is a world tour in song, courtesy of Swansea’s globe-trotting soprano Elin Manahan Thomas and her pianist Jeffrey Howard.
Among enchanting songs by Debussy, Schubert and others will be the world premiere of a new song cycle about Swansea by Jeffrey Howard, composed for this year’s Swansea International Festival.

Rodrigo: Cuatro madrigals amatorios
Barber: Hermit Songs
Britten: British folk songs (selection tbc)
Warlock: My Own Country
Howard: new commission – world premiere
