Professor Lyn Evans, FRS (CERN)
Speaker's BiographyProf. Lyn Evans FRS was born and raised in Aberdare. He was educated at Aberdare Boys Grammar School and graduated in physics at the University College of Swansea in 1970. He spent most of his career at CERN in Switzerland. From 1994 he worked on the project that led to the Large Hadron Collider, serving as the project’s leader until 2008. He is an honorary fellow of Swansea University.
