Come along to a fun-filled Saturday morning inspired by photographs, writings and recordings of breakthrough women from across industrial South Wales. You'll have a chance to witness the unfurling of a new Breakthrough Welsh Women's banner created by school children and members of the public based on women's stories. With hands-on activities for the whole family and a chance to tell us about the women who inspire you, everyone is welcome to join in our celebration.

Partners: South Wales Miners' Library, DOVE workshop, Banwen, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Richard Burton Archives.

This event is part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, taking place 10–19 November. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
