This session explores the developing methods used in measuring research impact, including bibliometrics - which can include citation rates, publishing rates and institutional collaboration.
There are lots of misconceptions and misunderstandings around the methods used to assess research especially quantative methods like citation rates and the Journal Impact Factor.
This session is an introduction and guide to these methods and their appropriate use, and would be useful for those working in a research support capacity, as well as those are engaged in research.
