Through the uses of archival material and student recollections, it is the purpose of this lecture to explore the changing lives of women at Swansea University. By thinking about the university’s environment and its perceptions of femininity throughout the twentieth century, it will illustrate that women often experienced a different undergraduate culture to that of their male counterparts.
