Phil Parkes has worked as a conservator based at Cardiff University for over 25 years. During this time, he has conserved a wide range of Egyptian artefacts for museums and private collectors. This talk will discuss the analysis and conservation of a number of these artefacts including coffin 118 from the Egypt Centre collection and the reconstruction of a doorway from beneath the Pyramid of Djoser.
