A Talk and Handling Session by our Curator, Dr Carolyn Graves-Brown
Little cats and big cats, lions, leopards and domestic cats. Did the Egyptians really worship cats? Why are there so many mummified cats? Are those feline goddesses lioness-headed or cat-headed, and what was it about leopard skins? Just some of the questions we will be exploring in this handling session.
